SAFETY

We have made some major adjustments to ensure the health and safety of the dancers and faculty during their time at The Hive. These safety standards have been created under the guidelines of the CDC and regulations set by Governor Pritzker,

 

 

 

OCCUPANCY:

 

  • There will be a maximum number of 15 dancers per class - no exceptions 

  • There will be no walk-ins for classes or intensives, All guests must pre-register and receive confirmation from Hive faculty

  • There will be a maximum of 2 instructors per class at any given time. Instructors will sanitize and change PPE should they travel to another studio to teach throughout the day.

 

 

 

ENTRY GUIDELINES:

 

  • IN ACCORDANCE WITH CITY OF CHICAGO MANDATES: All dancers MUST provide proof of vaccination and must accompany that with photo id for dancers 16 years of age and older.  

  • All students and instructors must enter with a face mask and sanitize hands upon entry, Sanitizer will be provided at both front and rear entrances - masks are available if needed.

  • Please remove shoes upon entry and place them in designated area located under the lockers.

  • If you are showing any symptoms of illness - or have a fever of over 100.4 degrees - DO NOT ATTEND classes. Contact us and we will alert faculty of your absence and your account will be adjusted.

 

 

CLASS GUIDELINES:

 

  • All faculty and dancers will be required to wear a mask throughout the duration of their classes. 

  • No shared food or water bottles

  • If equipment is used during a class (i.e. Barres/PBT) all equipment must be sanitized before and after each use - disinfectant wipes will be provided.

  • Maintain 6ft distance between other dancers in the space.

COMMON SPACES/RESTROOM GUIDELINES:

 

  • Dancers and faculty will only use the restrooms provided in their designated spaces.

  • Dancers and faculty must sanitize their hands BEFORE exiting for the restroom, and UPON RETURNING to the classroom - sanitizer will be provided. 

  • Dancers and faculty must wear their masks to the restrooms and in common areas (shared spaces with other businesses within the building) NO EXCEPTIONS.

  • Dancers and faculty will follow all CDC hand washing guidelines; signage will be posted.

  • Remember we have neighbors in both spaces, and we must do everything in our power to protect their safety as well as ours.

  • Signage directing pathways to and from restrooms will also be posted, PLEASE YIELD TO OUR NEIGHBORS.
